People are, nicht „people is“

Die Regel

People ist im Englischen Plural: people are, people have, people like. Sagen Sie für eine Person a person.

People hat kein -s, sieht also wie die Einzahl aus, und viele Lernende sagen people is. Es ist jedoch immer Plural, genau wie children.
