Day 47 of 60 · B1 · Vocabulary
Some verbs and nouns always go together, and you can't guess them from Arabic or French: take a photo, have breakfast / a shower, pay attention, catch a cold, make friends. Learn each pair as one chunk.
Learners translate word for word: French prendre le petit-déjeuner gives take breakfast, and faire attention gives make attention. The English verb is often a surprise, so translation doesn't help here.
