How one-to-one lessons work

1. Trial lesson — a needs analysis, level check and sample activity. You receive a written learning plan afterwards.
2. Choose a lesson pack — buy a pack of lessons and book times that suit you from the live calendar.
3. Learn and practise — live video lessons, with notes, corrections and homework after each one in your student area.
4. Review progress — we review your progress against your goals regularly and adjust the plan.

What is included

• A personal learning plan based on your needs analysis
• Live lessons on Microsoft Teams
• Written lesson notes: corrections, vocabulary, homework and next objective
• Homework marked with feedback
• Progress records by skill, using the CEFR

Booking and changes

You can book, view and cancel lessons yourself in your student area. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the lesson return the lesson to your balance automatically. See the cancellation and refund policy for details.

How small groups work

Small group courses run for a fixed number of weeks at set times, with a published syllabus and a maximum number of participants so everyone gets speaking time.

• Learners are placed by level using the free level assessment and a short interview.
• Each course has a minimum number of participants. If it is not reached, the course does not start and you receive a full refund or a transfer, as you prefer.
• Group lessons are not individually rescheduled; if you miss one, you receive the materials and notes.

Start dates for each group are sent by email to everyone on the waiting list. To join, send us a message with your level and preferred times; we'll tell you when a group at your level opens.
