Día 53 de 60 · B1 · Escritura
Usa because + sujeto + verbo: We stayed home because it was raining. Usa because of + un sustantivo o pronombre: We stayed home because of the rain.
El árabe hace la misma división (بسبب + sustantivo, لأن + oración), pero cuando escribimos rápido omitimos of o lo ponemos en el lugar incorrecto: because the rain, because of it was late.

Fíjate en las siguientes palabras: si hay un verbo (was, is, have), usa because; si solo hay un sustantivo (the rain, the traffic, you), usa because of. En la escritura formal, due to funciona como because of.
